Warmth

What a glorious day!  The sun was out and it was warm – 75 degrees warm.  It felt so good – to feel the sun penetrate your skin and to drink it all its warmth.  Truly fantastic – after a long, cold, wet dark winter. 

The kids and I headed out the door at 10:00am this morning and spent the day at Lake Sammamish state park.  We played at the playground, had a picnic lunch, and then spent the rest of the afternoon throwing rocks and fetching sticks at the lake.  We got home around 4:00 – a day very well spent!

And I could not be in more crazy love with these kids!  I’m always amazed at how well they get along and at their imagination.  With Beckett napping beside me, Campbelle and Christian literally entertained themselves for 2 1/2 hours with nothing more than sticks, rocks, water and themselves.  At one point, Christian came and sat beside us on the blanket and said “Campbelle’s my best friend mom, and Beckett too.” 

A heart warming and soul warming day.
