Kindergarten Makeover

Since seeing the Gallaghers this summer, Christian has been begging for a ‘faux-hawk’ like his super cool cousin Will.  And with Campbelle’s big new haircut (and all the attention that she received) he really wanted a ‘BIG BIG CHANGE!”  I think he got it.

When Leif got home from work tonight, Christian went outside and rang the doorbell for Leif to answer it.  It took Leif a few seconds to connect that it was his son.  He thought it was one of Petter Bakken’s kids!  :-)

Ready for 2nd Grade

Campbelle started school today.  To say that kid was excited is nothing but a complete understatement.  I found her this morning lying in the bed smiling from ear to ear at 6:45 this morning…. waiting patiently for her alarm to go off.  When it did, she popped out of bed, giggled throughout her shower and sang loudly to Sheryl Crow as she blow dried her hair.  She was pleasant, happy and unbelievably helpful at breakfast.  She was organized with all her things seating neatly by the door and sat and read a few minutes before I told her it was time to go to the bus stop.  It was such a joy for everyone in the house this morning.  A true joy.  One that I know probably won’t last.  (Not the loving school part, pretty sure that will last – I just refer to the pleasant-ness of the morning routine).

My little fashion girl and the outfit that she finally decided upon.  And she went with the JEGGINGS!  “You know mom, a cross between jeans and leggings.  Don’t you know that Mom??”

Oye!

Her buddies at the bus stop.  Christian doesn’t actually start school until Friday.  He desperately wanted to get on the bus too this morning.
