Happy Birthday Christian!
Yesterday was Christian's actual birthday. And what a great time he had. His day started off with streamers hanging from his door, his favorite breakfast of caviar, eggs and toast and then off to school. He had some slight concern caused by his sister when she continually questioned him if his pjs felt smaller this morning. When he realized they weren't any smaller, I think he wondered if today was indeed his birthday.
Then it was off to school. He got to be the Glory Kid at preschool, and that means 'You get to do everything mom... EVERYTHING. Like line leader, flag holder, snack helper.... EVERYTHING!" Wow, how could I know share in this excitement.
Here are all his buddies from school. We brought in the volcano to really get our use of it! And I think I might be done making dinosaur cakes for a little while.
Then we went to pick up Leif at work and go into Seattle for lunch at Red Robin. No birthday is complete without a little birthday song and dance from the waiters there. Then the aquarium for some fish action and a close-encounter with an octopus for Leif.
Then finally home for the really fun stuff. Presents! Can you tell how excited he was??
Campbelle truly shares so much joy in the opening of his gifts - in fact, true to their personality types, she may even get more excited about his gifts than he does.
I just love seeing them get so thrilled for one another. But it looks a bit painful type of hug.?!?
And then he got some very serious pirate stuff from his godparents back in Norway. Thanks everyone! He takes his pirating very seriously!!
And then there was a big boy bike ... we had little doubt that we would hop right on and take off... and he did just that. Nice to have a house with a little bike path!! :-)
We all had such a fun time celebrating his birthday. It is crazy how fast they grow - who knew this little baby would grow to be such a sweet, kind little boy in just a few years!! (on second thought... maybe we did have a slight indication he would!)
And thanks to Will, he's grown to love dinosaurs too! :-)

Looks like a great day to be 3! That cute little baby has grown into a cute little boy. Those sweet cheeks haven't changed over the last 3 years!

I love it! What a fun day...
Campbelle really DOES look excited!
It is so fun to look at those baby pictures of him. Except for the last one - it kinda gives me the heebie-jeebies.
