Campbelle’s Day

We celebrated Campbelle’s birthday today and she got to pick where she wanted to go for lunch.  She really wanted to go to Paris.  But since Leif nixed those plans for us, she settled for a nice quant French bistro in Seattle. 

Oui oui! – croissants, pommes-frites, and croque monsieur.  So chic, so french - so Oh la la!

Then to the Seattle Children’s museum for the afternoon of play. 

Here Campbelle is teaching the boys how to meditate.  She thinks Christian needs some more practice in his zen like state.  (isn't that the truth!)

Too cute.  Small – Medium – Large.

Dinner was also her choice.  Hot dogs (Norwegian style.  Which means wrapped in lefse) and mac-n-cheese  (“The good kind mom.  You know the stuff from the box.  Not what you make from scratch.”  Ouch.)  All served on our very finest china, silver and linens – of course.

Followed by gifts.  Here’s a few…………..a pink basketball from the boys.

And the most excited I’ve seen Campbelle get (and believe me the kid gets really REALLY excited -- often)…. a Zune (you know, kinda like an iPod but from Microsoft) ;-)

  I swear it was going to fly out of her hand that’s how excited she was. 

(Look for a future post on the dilemma I had with this gift', that Leif obviously won.  Hopefully she won’t lose it between now and then.)   

 

Campbelle thought this was the best birthday she’s ever had.  I may agree – it really was fun.

And did you happen to see the cake.  Man I’m getting good.  Look out Ace of Cakes.  I may be hosting my own show pretty soon.
