Let the Birthday Festivities Begin!

Campbelle turned 6 on Sunday – but we started the weekend long celebration with going to get her ears pierced on Saturday.

She has talked about doing this for so long now – I can’t even recall.  She was so excited that she barely slept the night before (so she says).  Sitting in the chair about to have them pierced, however, was another story.  As much as I know she wanted it done, she was really nervous.  The poor little thing was just shaking.  She was brave though, and didn’t cry.  (with the exception of a few little tears that rolled down her cheek.)  Gina asked her if she would do it again and she pronounced ‘No!’ - it took her a few hours to speak flippantly about it.  And now of course, she is sooooo grown up and cool.

This is the photo right after.  Still a look of concern on her face.  But cute,  pink flowers sparkling in her ears!

Then we headed to the Tulip Festival in Skagit County.  It was peak weekend and the weather was perfect.  The kids, however, did no cooperate as perfectly for a nice photo.
