Beautiful

I've done my fair share of complaining about the weather in the Seattle area this year, probably the most complaining that I've done since we moved here 5 years ago.  But to give this area's weather its due, when it's good, it is very, very good.

This weekend we are experiencing a heat wave - temps in the 90s!  And to feel that glorious heat on your skin truly makes up for the months of rain and cloudy skies.  People who live here will always tell you, if you can make it through those soggy winter months, the summer will be your reward.   Warm daytime temps, cool nights, amazing mountain scenery, not a mosquito in sight, no humidity... it really doesn't get much better than this.

Yesterday we spent just about every minute we could outside - eating, playing, relaxing.  The kids had a blast on the slip and slide.

 

Today, maybe the pool.  All we know is that we will soak in every minute of this amazing weather - because come December, I'll probably be begging for a Happy Light from Santa again!!
